Why EDDA partners?

We have met so many wonderful people over the years and have really enjoyed the work we’ve gotten to do together. The boutique firms we started with grew and were acquired by much larger ones and we missed the hands-on, attentive approach. So with the encouragement of mentors, we decided to try the extreme version of a small firm.

The bosses and peers we have worked with along the way have provided opportunities to be involved in all parts and stages of the business of search.

At EDDA partners, we are the whole search process, from soup to nuts. We are the people who meet with you in your role as hiring authority, search committee member, or stakeholder as we seek to understand the current and desired states of your organization. We are the people who will act as ambassadors on behalf of the organization and contact you as an expert in the field, or source, or even as a potential candidate.

What’s an EDDA?

Edda (ĕd´ə) is the title given to two pieces of work written in Old Icelandic. The Poetic Edda is a collection of old (c. 800 - c. 1200) myths written down in the 13th century. The Prose Edda (compiled, at least in part, by Snorri Sturluson c. 1220) served as a textbook about Norse mythology and skaldic poetry. They are texts that combine a really good story with some of the structure needed to create the form and to interpret and understand it. This feels like a good metaphor for search consulting, and for life!

Who are the partners?

This kind of consultative work is at its best – most productive and most fun – when there is trust and a shared goal. Where there’s a partnership.

Every member of an organization, every interested person, every applicant, and every candidate, no matter how far they might make it in the search, is a partner.

Jennifer and Kristine worked together at Brill Neumann Associates and are glad to be collaborating again.

Here’s a little more about what we bring.
